Drive – movie review
A word of advice, don’t try to get ahead of Drive because just when you think you know where it’s going, the movie takes a sudden turn.
The story is a powerful yet quaint one, but with one fire of the shotgun it quickly darts across lines Kill Bill didn’t dare to go.
The trailer sets the movie up to be another Hollywood stunt blockbuster with car chases, car crashes, bank heists; the whole nine yards. In fact I walked in thinking ‘How is this going to be any different to Jason Stratham in The Transporter? 'You have five minutes. Not a minute early not a minute later, I don’t carry a gun.’ Yadda yadda. We’ve seen it before, right? Well that’s what I thought. But within the first three minutes I knew I was wrong.
