Hanna – movie review
If you strip back The Bourne Identity to its very foundations and add a good serve of Kill Bill (sans the blood bath scenes) you have the suspense thriller Hanna.
Set in the depths of Finland, Ex-CIA agent and widower Erik (Eric Bana) is raising his daughter Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) to be the perfect assassin. From the moment Hanna could walk, she was being trained mentally and physically for a mission she is yet to learn about. After turning 16 and satisfying her father that she is ready to face the world, Hanna is given an ultimatum which will change her life forever and with the reason for her existence coming to the surface, more questions are asked about who she really is.
Her real test will be the stealth mission given to her by her father where Hanna is forced to use everything she’s learned to stay alive and with agents sent by Marissa (Cate Blanchett),( an intelligence Operative who is hiding her own secrets) on her tail, things can only get tougher.
